Time Out says

Put off waffles in Paris by the rubbish served from street stalls around the city? Le Comptoir Belge is the antidote. It may be located in the Pigalle tourist district, but the handmade waffles that take shape before your eyes are as magical as they look as they’re twisted and rolled into shape before hitting the waffle iron. And there’s no question of Nutella for the topping – how about proper Belgian chocolate instead? The waffles themselves are soft on the inside, the outside crispy and flecked with sugar crystals. If you like your waffles authentic, this place will save you the price of a train fare to Brussels.
