This restaurant hasn't just opened or been renovated. It's not a Parisian gem hidden in some obscure location off the beaten track. No, this is a restaurant that is an indispensable addition to your address book, that many of you will know already, but that we hadn't yet covered here at Time Out Paris. Thankfully, we recently found the time to make the trip.
The extensive menu here focuses on flavours from Thailand and Laos, with equal attention given to Westerners' favourites and to less well-known dishes for those with a more adventurous palate. We haven't tried everything (although we've given it a good shot), but we have yet to be disappointed by anything we've ordered. Even the prices are easy to digest: for barely €20 you can leave with a full stomach and satisfied taste buds. The service is at times on the inflexible side, but never to the extent of ruining the overall experience. This Belleville institution has been delighting local gourmands for a long time now, and we can't imagine that's going to stop any time soon.
