This open-fronted address on the Rue du Faubourg Montmartre offers a wide selection of sweet and savoury crepes and waffles. With its sparkling white tiling and artistically stacked drink cans, the stylish interior has the charm of an old-fashioned bistro, and it's a great spot to eat in (although you can also take away).
Service is a little slow, but the Brussels-style savoury waffles are certainly worth the wait (especially if you go for the gorgeously fresh mushrooms and broccoli, or the vibrant smoked salmon with lemon and dill cream sauce – both fairly priced at €10). The savoury crepes, by contrast, are a little clumsy. At €7 (for cheese or ham) or €8.50 (for Merguez sausage or bolognese), they’re good if you’re incredibly hungry or if you need to eat off a hangover, but not a gourmet experience. On the dessert menu, slather your pastry with Nutella or a brilliant homemade light cream with raspberries. For the gluten-averse, don’t forget there’s also a special range of buckwheat crepes and waffles.
