This is a review of the breakfast menu and deli only.
Done out like a New York-style deli, this tiny coffee shop is a brilliant place to come for a peaceful early morning breakfast on the terrace. The smiley staff at Delik offer set menus to please all appetites and budgets – it’s €4 for a coffee and a pastry, €7 with an extra fresh fruit juice or €12 for a larger, brunch-like meal. The latter includes scrambled eggs, a customisable fruit juice (with ingredients including lemon, orange and radish) and slices of bread and a bagel topped with very decent cream cheese and jam.
The stylish interior décor comprises bric-à-brac furniture and other gizmos, blossoming flowers and shelves filled with imported American products, should you feel the need for a snack for later. These include Reese’s Puffs breakfast cereal, peanut butter chocolate bars and M&Ms of nearly every colour (€2.50 a sachet).
