Behind Bigott is Boja Laudo, a Spanish artist as well known as home for his creative facial hair as for his classy and intelligent baroque pop. After his first self-produced tracks, he released 2011’s excellent ‘The Original Soundtrack’ with the help of producer Paco Loco, an album that succeeded as much with its intimate folk as with its slick arrangements. His sense of humour comes through in the titles of certain tracks, like ‘God is Gay’ or ‘Dead Man Walking’, revealing a free spirit (he doesn’t possess a mobile phone) who has a tendency to act up on stage. Opening on the decks is classy pop group Maddalena.
