Celebrating 17 years of Paris’s annual Techno Parade, electronic music in Paris gets all serious and grown-up with an unmissable week of events and networking for electronic music professionals in France and from abroad. Conferences, debates, talks, showcases, masterclasses and of course club nights all make up the programme (September 2016, various Paris venues), both reinforcing the impression of a sector that’s full of life, and giving it plenty more to go on.
Apart from the riotous Techno Parade itself (this year’s theme is ‘Seoul’), look out for everything from an evening of Philip Glass’s music at the Musée de la Vie Romantique, and a conference on the future of North African music festivals at the Institut du Monde Arabe.
Buying a pass (€12.50-€25) gives you access to a broad range of events, while some are free and open to all.
