They’re not all that young, they don’t have a label or indeed an album, and still Paris talks of nothing else. Artistic collective Fauve maintain the requisite mystique for their genre, with their taste for anonymity, independence, community spirit and secrets. Since 2011 they’ve been putting free-to-download song samples and homemade videos on line, creating a great profile via word of mouth – and their mystique is of course wrapped up in the marriage between the sweet guitar chords and the singer’s lyrical tone, with bitter lyrics that have touched a chord with Parisian youth.
