Documents and artefacts covering everything from the founding of the Sorbonne to an ordinance about umbrellas are displayed in the recently renovated Hôtel de Soubise. Its rococo interiors feature paintings by François Boucher and Carle van Loo. Also includes a spectacular set of gardens that opened to the public in 2011.
