The rooms here are all clean and contemporary – each room has a desk, flatscreen television with satellite channels and private bathroom. Some rooms also have attached kitchens – useful if you want to make a packed lunch before setting off out for a day in Paris. (A definite highlight here has to be that each bathroom has its own hot tub, should you want to really unwind after a day of shopping and sightseeing.)
There’s a fitness centre here, with a selection of machines and equipment. There are also games of billiards and darts available. But the real strength of this place is its location: slap-bang in the heart of the city, and not too far at all from many of its most popular sights.
Neighbourhood:
Being completely surrounded by galleries and other sights, the Les Halles area is a tourist hotspot through-and-through. There’s no end of charming cafés and bistros, though ones that locals approve of may need some seeking out.
Nearby:
Saint-Chapelle, a thirteenth-century chapel whose stained-glass windows will astound you.
Banana Café, a late-night bar whose soirées and drag shows are popular with younger Parisians.
Time Out Tip: Factor a stroll along the Seine into your evening plans – a trip over the Pont au Change to the Île de la Cité is more than worth it.
