Hôtel Henri IV

On tree-lined, triangular Place Dauphine, surrounded by some of Paris's most expensive real estate on Ile de la Cité and a stone's throw from Notre-Dame, the Henri IV remains Paris's best value budget hotel. You therefore need to book well ahead to get a room. The rooms are simple and unadorned, but clean, and the three paupers' penthouses with balconies and rooftop views go first. Eleven of the 15 room have en suite bathrooms; the others offer very, very cheap rates.
