In the heart of the 1st arrondissement, Castille is practically neighbours with the maison Chanel. Parisian elegance combines with Italian savoir-faire, with resolutely modern accents plus the charm of the eighteenth century. This sublime jewel was once lived in by aristocratic families and comprises 108 rooms spread over two wings.

The Rivoli wing is all retro-chic thirties Parisian style, in black, white and beige (note the heavy Coco Chanel influence), while the Opéra wing, is more modern with a contemporary design. All bathrooms are incredible, decked out in Carrare marble for a Venetian vibe.

Cross the Mediterranean with the help of Italian chef Ugo Alciati at the highly-acclaimed hotel restaurant L’Assaggio, with the dish equivalent to a blast of sun. Don’t miss the Roman fountain and the trompe-l'œil fresco in the outer courtyard, perfect for sipping a cocktail, before diving into an authentic risotto. A tiramisu is the perfect end note to this slice of the dolce vita.
