Le Dandy opened in October 2012 and has had a lot of hype – the new kid on the ‘So-Pi’ (South Pigalle) block is just opposite Le Mansart, with whom it shares the hip local clientele. A club done out like a 1930s sitting room by designers Octave and Basile de Gaulle, it's a sort of dance-focused speakeasy except with deep house instead of swinging jazz. The main room is the boudoir-like dancefloor on the ground floor, with a Saturday night DJ soundtrack selected by the Delirium Tremens collective (Jay Haze, Masomenos, Get The Curse), or sometimes up and coming bands. There’s even a carpeted room with beds and a piano, and a very private smoking room. The clientele can be a little young, but are good-natured and always ready to party.
