Lipstick

The Rue Frochot in Pigalle isn't short on cocktail bars, with Lipstick coming hard on the heels of Dirty Dick and Le Glass to up the nightlife ante in this part of town. A former hostess bar (now much classier), Lipstick never forgets it's origins in the historic red light district. Leopardskin banquettes, naughty cocktail names, erotic wallpaper and even a dancing pole make sure of that – and the name, which refers to the red lips on the neon sign of the bar's previous incarnation. They take their mixology seriously now (€8-€12), with happy hour stretching until 10pm, and a hip-hop and electro soundtrack which ensures a hip, if comparatively well-behaved, clientele.
