Part of a revival of the iconic Halle Secrétan building, the newly-opened Wanted bar checks all the right boxes for a hip hot spot – pretty wood interiors, trendy music and a ‘bobo’ clientele. In keeping with its Italian-American theme, the menu features the usual antipasti classics, including Italian cheeses and charcuterie (we can recommend the mortadella with truffle), but it’s the pizzas that caught our attention. Priced between €12 and €18, they may seem expensive but trust us, they’re worth it, made with truffles, aged Parmesan cheese and other superb ingredients.
The drinks menu is carefully selected but comprehensive, featuring fresh fruit juices for €5, pints of Brooklyn Lager for €8.60, and Bardouin pastis for €3.50, as well as Italian digestifs like limoncello or grappa for €8. The well-made Negroni held us in good stead throughout the evening (cocktails range from €9- €12).
