Having already set up three hit bars on rooftops around Paris (in the Marais, in Ménilmontant and next to the Gare de l’Est), the team behind Perchoir brand have once again taken to the skies, this time in the luxurious, verdant hills of the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. This new venture is a more classic establishment than their typical contemporary-style bars, set as it is in a charming Napoleon III-era house.
Next to the house is an enormous terrace shaded by trees. It’s a popular place, but thankfully there’s plenty of seating space (punters can choose between large wicker chairs, cosy garden furniture or benches layered with cushions). Synthetic grass completes the Pavillon’s quaintly rural look.
To drink, we opt for a brilliantly zesty Moscow Mule, and bask in the sun while an upbeat pop playlist plays. As for food, you can get three courses for €40, with the regular menu featuring Italian things like pasta, carpaccio, pizza, tiramisu and panna cotta. Head back during the day for yoga classes, a weekend brunch menu and creative workshops for kids.
