Just around the corner from the Carreau du Temple, this charming little teashop is a great place to come for peaceful refreshment in a striking setting. With a ceiling entirely covered in pretend flowers and leaves, exposed brick walls and comfy flowery benches, Lily of the Valley is a very pretty break from the Parisian norm.
The tea here comes in many different varieties and colours: plain (black, green and white), infusions, scented (black and green), outright unusual (rooibos or chocolate roasted mate) or iced. To accompany your drink, choose between a number of alluring sweets like matcha green tea and raspberry cake (€3), just-cooked cookies and mini muffins. A typical tea costs €4.50 to drink on the terrace (each comes served in attractive, mismatched crockery) or €3.50 to take away, while a 100g sachet will cost €6.50-€18, depending on the brew.
