Time Out says

What should I order? A €5 cocktail, of course.

With a corner terrace and a view of Tati Mariage, this is one of our favourite cheap watering holes. Always full and always joyous, crowds often spill out onto the pavement at weekends. The decor couldn’t be more of a mish-mash: think Louis XV armchairs, seventies egg seats, walls lined with books and walls pasted with comic book pages. It’s the ideal hideout, set back from the main street, and made for sipping a €5 cosmo, margarita or daïquiri, or perhaps a €4 mocktail.

It’s open six days a week and even better – the happy hour runs from 6-10pm, serving pints of lager at €3.50 and caïpirinhas at €3.50. To soak up the booze, order homemade pizza, pasta or an excellent cheeseburger. Festive, cosy and great value, Le Brakadabar is a little diamond in the rough.
