Baleapop 2014

As much an underground event as a music festival, Baleapop makes the grade with its great, easy-going ambiance in a beautiful seaside village in the French Basque country. There are concerts organised in the village's old primary school, and on the beach. It’s mostly electronic music, but they bring in very good international DJs and producers from the right labels. It's the perfect opportunity to make a holiday of it ­– the food is amazing in this part of France, and in the morning you can drive to Bilbao and visit the Guggenheim for a bit of cultural fresh air before getting drunk again.
