Time Out says

Martin Parr's Paris is one without la vie en rose, without kisses under the Eiffel Tower and without cobbled street smelling of freshly-baked baguettes. It's a realistic city, that of the real Parisians, with its tidal waves of tourists, agricultural shows and artificial summer beaches held together with sweat and tarmac. Commissioned by the Maison Européene de la Photographie as part of a series on famous photographers' visions of Paris, Parr's 60 images frame the French capital through daily scenes and dramatic slanting angles.
