Installed in the former notary’s house tucked away in the middle of the Noisy-le-Sec (Seine-Sainte-Denis) housing projects, the Galerie has been going since 1999. Since 2005 Marianne Lanavère has been at the helm, and under her direction the space, which welcomes painting, installations, photos and videos, has become one of the liveliest centres for contemporary art in the Parisian banlieue. Don’t miss the ‘Sunday tea’, a guided tour that includes a hot drink, or the workshop ‘Un temps pour l’art’, which analyses the works on show. Each event includes a printed guide in French and English.
