James Franco: New Film Stills

As much as some of us would prefer that he'd take a breather, James Franco can't seem to stop himself from keeping busy. This time, the Hollywood Renaissance man has decided to restage Cindy Sherman's classic 'Film Stills', the black-and-white photo series in which Sherman channeled various female movie-character types. Using the same outfits, poses and settings, Franco reenacted Sherman's takes on cinema sirens. He didn't bother to shave, which is probably the point, since his efforts could be construed as a 21st-century spin on Duchamp's drawing of a mustache and goatee on the Mona Lisa. Maybe.
