Costa-Gavras, 'Carnets photographiques'

From New York to Paris and from Moscow to Havana, Costa-Gavras never stopped photographing the places, personalities and socio-political switchbacks that marked his travels. In this exhibition, the Maison Européene de la Photographie shows for the first time a collection of 70 black and white images compiled by the director of ‘Z’ and ‘L’Aveu’. These photos were taken for pleasure, for curiosity and a little randomly, and show the gaze of an artist on the look-out.
