Time Out says

If you’re looking for something new, fresh, and quieter than the rest of the dessert, head to the Sands Hotel and Spa. Located in the heart of the small community of Indian Wells, the Sands is right between Palm Desert and La Quinta in the Coachella Valley. It is a completely reimagined 1950’s property with chic, Moroccan aesthetics. You’ll find blush-splashed walls with black and white tiled floors and vibrant details throughout the inspiring property. It features 46 guest rooms, most of which have their own private patio, and fully stocked bar with premium liquors.

Perfect for a girl’s getaway, or a chill bachelorette, their not-to-be-missed restaurant, the Pink Cabana, features a highly Instagramable space, with palm tree leaf wall paper, gold trimmings and a green tiled bar. Their mediterranean and Moroccan influenced menu is created by award-winning Executive Chef Jason Niederkorn, who incorporates seasonal ingredients and freshly farmed California produce into his dishes. For dinner, try the steak frites or the local mushroom tagliatelle and make sure to order one of their remarkable craft cocktails—but be sure to make reservations, because this place fills up fast.

The intimate pool with its plush lounge chairs and black and white striped cabanas, make guests feel transported to a faraway paradise. Be sure to enjoy your lounge time with a plentiful poolside bite or pink lemonade cocktail. There’s also nothing better than a massage while on vacation. It’s nice having the convenience of an on-property spa, so why not splurge on one of their Moroccan-inspired treatments in the signature spa that is designed with the same serene vibes as the rest of the property, and features naturally-sourced ingredients from Morocco, designed to detoxify and hydrate, so you can get back to those cocktails by the pool.
