Time Out says

Consider Arrive the Goldilocks of Palm Springs hotels: Its butterfly roof nods to the area’s mid-century architecture while staying fresh with industrial-chic touches, its 21-and-over policy and pool bar keep things more placid than party and its relatively intimate 32-room setup avoids the cold busyness of a high-rise hotel without incurring the honeymoon prices of small secluded spots. It’s roughly a mile from the most walkable stretch of the city’s downtown, but that bit of distance keeps things considerably more low-key here.

Rooms are spacious and bright and strike the right balance between sophistication and fun; tropical wallpaper behind the bed adds color and personality without going overboard on retro charm. Aside from a window on the front door (which, don’t worry, has a pull-down shade), all of the rest are relegated to the tops of the walls, which provides tons of natural light while maintaining plenty of privacy. Storage is very limited (though you’ll likely live in a bathing suit during our stay) and we really would’ve loved an in-room coffee maker or kettle (you’ll instead have to drop a few bucks at the adjoining coffee shop). The ground-floor patios are cute if inessential; consider opting for the otherwise identical upstairs studios for at least $30 less per night.

As any good Palm Springs hotel should, the pool is the center of attention and Arrive has really nailed that part: The pool and hot tub themselves are exceptionally spacious, with plenty of seating (both sun and shade), marvelous mountain views and an ambience that’s undoubtedly cool without ever feeling exclusionary or overstuffed with people. You’ll find bocce and Ping-Pong on one end, firepits and borrowable bicycles on the other and an indoor-outdoor, best-for-brunch restaurant in between. As far as service goes, it’s peak (but not obnoxiously) millennial: You check in at the pool bar, reach the front desk via text, order your room service online and can bring your dog almost anywhere on property.

Speaking of, this just might be the most dog-friendly hotel in Palm Springs. Not only is your pup welcome in your room, with a dog bed and treats provided upon arrival, you can bring them poolside—just not in the pool—and to the largely outdoor restaurant (remarkably dog-friendly bar Boozehounds is also only a few blocks up the street). Now, whether or not you should even be bringing your dog into the blistering Palm Springs heat is another question entirely, but for those handful of months where the daytime temperature doesn’t get out of the 80s, it’s a much-appreciated policy. (Just a heads up: Arrive now limits pets to a single well-behaved dog 30 pounds and under and charges a $100 cleaning fee; dogs of all sizes were previously able to stay for no additional charge until the beginning of 2024.)
