Time Out says

Osaka’s udon connoisseurs swear by this no-frills shop that’s been serving up its Kagawa-style noodles since 2018. Run by a native Osakan who learned his trade at the source in Kagawa, the eatery makes its own noodles in house, employing a higher water-to-flour ratio than most competitors. This results in a pleasantly soft mouthfeel while retaining the firmness essential to authentic Sanuki udon. The noodles are paired with an original dashi soup made from sardine, mackerel and konbu seaweed broth and flavoured with light soy sauce, sake and mirin.

Only open for lunch, the shop does an enduringly popular ‘Daytime Set’ (¥1,200), which includes a choice of udon, seabream surimi tempura and a bowl of rice (topped either with a raw egg or simmered dried sardines). It’s one of the best lunch deals in the neighbourhood, so go prepared to queue.
