Crafters of all ages can learn how to decorate their own Easter eggs using the traditional Ukrainian technique of beeswax and dye resist at this Pysanky workshop hosted by the Private Picassos art studio in Clinton Hill (293 Grand Ave).
On Saturday, April 12, Private Picassos’ founder Valeen Bhat will lead two sessions: one from 9:30am to 11am for families and one from 11:30am to 1pm for artsy adults. Each session will include all of the necessary art materials and expert instruction needed to create the colorfully dyed, intricately decorated eggs typically found in Slavic culture, plus directions for how to recreate the experience on their own at home.
