For this online art project, Bob Carey photographs himself wearing a pink tutu in different locations around the country. His muse? Carey's wife, Linda, who has battled breast cancer on and off over the past nine years. The joyfully quirky images—which are available as postcards, prints and in Ballerina, the Book (order at thetutuproject.com)—help raise funds for the Carey Foundation, which supports those affected by breast cancer. Check out the photos at a one-day exhibit; shutterbugs can also sit in on a photography lecture by Carey (1:30pm, $20), or bid on prints at a launch party and fund-raiser (Fri 3 6–9pm, $50). The Lab NYC, 122 W 26th St between Sixth and Seventh Aves, fifth floor. Subway: N, R, 1 to 28th St.
