Things are heating up this holiday season as the "mischief-makers of jazz," the Hot Sardines, are taking over Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St) for a good old-fashioned Holiday Stomp, their first in six years in their hometown of NYC.
Fresh off the release of their new album, "C’est la Vie," the irreverent musical outfit founded by Elizabeth Bougerol and Evan Palazzo will whip up a jazzy, joyful yuletide extravaganza inspired by early jazz, blues and pop Christmas recordings. We're talking reinterpreted classics, obscure gems and other festive finds from throwback favorites like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Edith Piaf, Hoagy Carmichael and more.
There will be two showings nightly from Monday, November 27 through Thursday, November 30, at 7pm and 9:30pm. Consider it a stomping-good early Christmas present!
