The Great Lopate Hot Plate Cook-Off

How do you whip up a feast when your kitchen makes a prison cell look palatial? World-renowned French chef Jacques Pépin and Michel Nischan (Dressing Room) feel New Yorkers' pain as they try to out-cook one another using only a hot plate and basic cookware. Lidia Bastianich (Felidia) will serve as judge and WCNY's Leonard Lopate as host. Audience members are invited to taste the cooks' concoctions, while Grammy Award–winning cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio plays.
