The delightful Dumbo Drop is back! Thousands of parachuting toy elephants will make their way from the rooftops surrounding Washington Street on Friday, June 2 at 6pm and 7pm. Onlookers can gather to watch the Drop events at the corner of Washington and Water Streets in Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood.
You can enter to win some truly colossal neighborhood prizes including a stay at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge and dinner at The Osprey. The elephant that most closely reaches the target wins each contest. Enter online here.
The visual spectacle combines with a block party including live entertainment on Washington Street; the Dumbo Archway Kids Zone; an elephant bedazzling extravaganza; and the Taste of Dumbo featuring a variety of neighborhood restaurants, all offering $5 menu options.
All the fun's for a good cause. Proceeds from the #DUMBDROP support Dumbo’s Title 1 STEAM Schools, PS307 Elementary School and The Dock Street Middle School.
