The Base is a leading tattoo and piercing studio in Brooklyn. Originally founded in Instanbul, the shop swiftly gained a reputation for being one of the finest in its native country. In response to its ever-growing fame, the founder Baris Yesilbas decided to relocate to NYC in 2017.

Now, it welcomes renowned guest artists from all over the world and boasts an impressive roster of residents, with signature styles ranging from illustrative watercolor to fine line, hyper-realism to minimal. As for the space itself? With the hardwood floors, bare-brick finishes, and industrial lighting, it's just as effortlessly cool as those working within it.
