Time Out says

Founded by Jessi Walter Brelsford in 2007, Taste Buds Kitchen began as a simple cupcake-making party business. They slowly began expanding and, in 2013, began opening franchise locations across the United States. Since its inception, Taste Buds Kitchen has continued to offer culinary education for whole families. These events foster confidence in the kitchen for young children, as well as the connection between all family members as they work together to create a tasty meal that everyone can be proud of and enjoy.

Taste Buds offers a tremendous range of BYOB cooking courses for adults at night. Their Cooking Classes for Two series is a popular date night activity where couples can learn to cook a new dish from scratch together. Some of these events include a handmade pasta class, a sushi and dumpling class, and a Spanish paella class. Each of these is a two-hour workshop where students are able to sip on their favorite beer or wine (no hard liquor, please!) as they are guided through a recipe step-by-step.

There are also plenty of courses available for children and their families. These include a pizza camp for children ages 4-10 and a family pizza cooking event that’s perfect for families with children of all ages. The family cooking workshops provide all the ingredients and Taste Buds Kitchen aprons for the whole crew. Children can cook alongside their parents as they all learn new recipes together, creating memories and building essential life skills along the way.

Couples and families who have taken classes at Taste Buds Kitchen have largely positive things to say about their experiences. People who describe themselves as “non-chefs” or beginner cooks feel that the classes are simple and easy to understand. They are also informative enough that students feel they can bring their new skills home with them and apply them to their own kitchen. The instructors are often praised for being easy to learn from and for creating a positive learning environment for all students. Couples who have attended their cooking classes for two frequently state that these are fun and unique date nights.
