The Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island was the place to be for old-timey family fun this Saturday. Scores of New Yorkers, decked out in their most gallient attire, participated in dance lessons, listened to old phonographs and took vintage portraits (sans selfie sticks). The spirit of the 1920s filled the air as performances inspired many to bust into the Charleston and lindy hop. Vintage cocktails and classic picnic feasts only added to the throwback charm of the beloved yearly event.
