Freak feminist folk band Pretty Polly (a.k.a. the semi-Satan-worshiping duo of performance artists-slash-musicians Sarah Lawrence and Liz Olear) is back and they’re better—and bloodier—than ever this Halloween.
Taking place on Monday, October 28 at 7pm at East Williamsburg venue Sleepwalk, the act’s new Freak Show is a haunting variety hour inspired by traveling circus sideshows, with a bewitching bill filled with live musicians, stand-up comedians, horror drag queens, professional mimes and “any performer who doesn’t quite fit into one medium,” like a woman who walks on champagne bottles. Brace yourself for a safe space to indulge and explore “your deepest, darkest, freaky fantasies,” organizers tease.
