Pankaj Mishra in conversation with Ian Buruma

The NYPL Cullman Center, which awards 15 fellowships a year to writers working at the Bryant Park branch, hosts this talk between two alums, Pankaj Mishra and Ian Buruma. The pair will discuss Mishra’s new book, From the Ruins of Empire: The Intellectuals Who Remade Asia, which profiles thinkers in India, China and elsewhere in the continent around the turn of the 20th century.
