A first look at New York Botanical Garden’s fabulous fashion-focused orchid show
Orchids, the divas of the plant world, are getting their runway moment.
The Orchid Show at The New York Botanical Garden exhibits thousands of species of beautiful blossoming orchids, making it one of the best NYC events in February and one of the best things to do in The Bronx. Macy's has its Flower Show, which is worth seeing in its own right, but the NYBG’s orchid show has been running for 21 years and has only gotten better.
The Orchid Show this year will look to fashion to inspire and delight.
Your ticket will get you daytime access to The Orchid Show, plus all the rest of NYBG's outdoor gardens and collections. If you want to visit after dark, check out Orchid Nights where you can admire the flowers under the twinkling lights of the conservatory with music in the background and a cocktail in hand.

The balmy and bountiful festival titled “The Orchid Show: Florals in Fashion” will feature thousands of orchids across “dramatic, picture-perfect” fashion installations by three noted designers, Hilary Taymour, Olivia Cheng, and Kristen Alpaugh. These designers have created striking and dynamic displays using NYBG’s chosen orchids, and visitors will get to “walk the orchid runway” through these immersive installations while showing off their style.
And like every year, Orchid Nights will be held for those 21 and older with music, cash bars, and food available for purchase.
