As part of the Next Wave Festival, philosopher Simon Critchley and Irish performer Olwen Fouéré sit down to discuss the brilliant James Joyce and the many ways the novelist and poet influenced modern writing. They'll cover everything from Joyce's first novel, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, to how his noted masterpiece Finnegans Wake inspired Fouéré's entire monologue for the night's feature, "riverrun." This talk will begin immediately after the film.
