Before Fidel Castro’s revolution, Americans regularly decamped to Havana to party the night away, as seen in the cinema classic Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. (Okay, so maybe only we think that’s a classic.) In today’s post-Castro Cuba, you can’t quite go back to that time, but you can come close at Drom, where old-school Cuban-inspired burlesque by the likes of Boo Boo Darlin and Tiny Twist, Latin beats by DJ Stefande plus live jams from Pepito Gómez and his orchestra fit perfectly with the tropical tipples and loud fashions at the soiree.
