The City of Angels is serving as inspiration for a pop-up collaboration between chef Camilla Marcus (west~bourne) and chef Nick Kim (Shuko). Kim has called on his west coast roots to create vegetarian delights with a myriad of different influences, as seen in his Tostadas Huitlacoche "Tsukedani" with popcorn, cotija and salsa roja, to name just one dish. Diners will also find some of the west~bourne favorites on the menu, including the Mushreuben with roasted maitake, sauerkraut, peppadew peppers, Swiss, and special sauce on toasted caraway rye.
Ode to LA will culminate with a Wednesday evening dinner benefiting the Youth Center for Immigrant Children's Rights. The $200 a plate meal will be served family style and includes beverage pairings.
