You don’t need much to participate in New-York Historical Society’s free scavenger hunt—just bring comfy shoes, a keen eye and an insatiable thirst for history and, well, mystery. Teams follow clues throughout the museum, answer tricky questions on their smartphones and discover amazing objects from the life of Alexander Hamilton (it’s all part of their exhibition Summer of Hamilton). While you’re hunting, you can see the largest Pablo Picasso painting in the U.S., some surprising folk art and a whimsical pigeon. So come on over and learn about the play you’ll see in a few years…when you’re done saving up for it!
