New York City's West Indian Day Parade is consistently one of the most anticipated events of the year, but did you know that there are four days of chock full of celebration leading up to the march down Brooklyn's Eastern Parkway? Starting with a reggae, afrobeats and soca concert at the Brooklyn Museum, New York Caribbean Carnival Week has something for everybody. There is Brassfest on Friday, a junior parade of the bands and steel band panorama on Saturday, and Dimanche Gras scheduled for Sunday. And, as you well know, Monday is the main event.
