Time Out says

If you want to start off the new year on a zen foot, this New Year’s Eve Sit at the New York Zen Center is a great “opportunity to reflect upon the year that has passed and ponder all the possibilities a new year might hold.”

Co-founders Sensei Chodo Robert Campbell and Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison will host the event, which will include short periods of Zazen (sitting meditation), a dharma talk, and the Buddhist tradition of ringing the great bell 108 times.

There are a limited number of in-person spots available but if you can’t attend IRL at the center in Chelsea (119 W 23rd St., Suite 401), don’t fret: you can still join in virtually!
