Check out Nitehawk Cinema’smidnight screening of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s The Holy Mountain, with live accompaniment by electronica trio Long Distance Poison. The 1973 film is a bizarre fantasy piece full of nudity, blood and whacked-out imagery; even the trailer is a mind-fuck. If you know you’re the paranoid type, hit up Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema, which hosts midnight showings of cult faves every Friday and Saturday. This weekend’s offering is Some Like It Hot, the classic Marilyn Monroe screwball comedy that features Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis cross-dressing before drag was hip.
