If you've been paying attention to the NYC underground during the past few years, you know that musicians from the metal, out-rock, avant-jazz and noise scenes have been forging all kinds of cool connections in ad hoc improv groups. Case in point, this headlining quartet with guitarist Mick Barr, violinist Sarah Bernstein, bassist Stuart Popejoy and drummer Kid Millions. The duo of guitarist Ava Mendoza and drummer Chris Corsano, and solo drummer Greg Fox (Zs, Liturgy, Guardian Alien) help set the stage.
