As a warm-up for the concert of the same name on March 9, BAM brings together four rappers for a discussion about the power of music and poetry in times of social and political change. Hear from spoken-word artists such as Deeb (who startled pre–Arab Spring Egypt with the political messages of his 2010 album Cairofornia), Palestinian hip-hop artist Shadia Mansour and Tunisian rapper El Général (whose December 2010 song “Rais Lebled” has been described as the anthem of the Jasmine Revolution).
