Long Island City School of Ballet

Kids of all skill levels plie their way through this Queens studio, from tiny tots first trying on ballet slippers to professional-track ballet dancers. In Pre Dance (ages 3-4), teachers introduce little ones to music and movement while guiding them through basic steps, then kindergarteners easy into choreography and continue developing strength and flexibility in Pre Ballet (ages 5–6). Basic Ballet (ages 7 and up) coaxes out the dancers’ creativity and prepares them for the technical Graded Levels of ballet that follow. Other offerings include tap, jazz, modern, pointe and sportsdance, designed specifically for boys. Ages 2 and up.
