It’s My Park Day

Locations and times vary; visit itsmypark.org for details. One look at our pasty legs has us yearning to lie out on a green lawn. Help make sure that plot of turf is clean by participating in It’s My Park Day. Volunteers can help tidy gardens, paths, playgrounds and ball fields, and partake in outdoor fun at more than 150 locations. Start the day with a 10am yoga class at Matthews-Palmer Playground (Tenth Ave between 45th and 46th Sts) before repainting its handball court, or follow the beach cleanup at Kaiser Park (Neptune Ave between Bayview Ave and W 23rd St, Coney Island, Brooklyn) with a dance performance by Kingsborough Early College School.
