Taught by Ikebana Master Junko Miura, the flower design classes at Ikebana Flowers in New York City will take anyone’s floral arrangements to the next level no matter their current level of experience. Those looking for a simple overview of the topic can check out the Introduction to Japanese Floral Design workshop. Here, students will start by learning more about the history and basic techniques of Ikebana, which loosely translates to “making flowers come alive.” This workshop lasts for two-and-a-half hours. An additional $50 for materials will also be collected, which covers the cost of the vase and flowers that each student will take home to display.
The Japanese Art of Floral Design workshop is a three-part technical series that covers basic Ikebana techniques and foundations.
