If you’re hoping that 2017 gets kind of freaky—in a good way—what better place to make that wish than at an actual freak show? At Funhouse Philosopher’s seaside bash, expect a performance-art piece by unofficial Coney Island mayor Dick Zigun and Eckszooberante, a 3-D laser show with a classic rock soundtrack and, since this is Coney after all, some good old-fashioned fire-breathing. At 11pm, the party moves outside to the Parachute Jump for the midnight ball drop, a decidedly chiller affair than the shit show happening in midtown.
