Take a look at some of the country's largest pumpkins as they are sawed and sliced into sculptures for the NYBG's Haunted Pumpkin Garden. Watch as sculptor Ray Villafane (two-time winner of the Food Network’s Outrageous Pumpkins Challenge) and his team of three artists transform the monstrous squash into a carnivorous plant creature and other scary critters. Last year the extreme veggies—the largest of which weighed in at 1,700 pounds—were carved into spiders, snakes and a life-size zombie centerpiece.
